The story

Find the lost pages

The Grey Mist has scattered the pages of the Great Chronicle and turned the world grey and silent. In every chapter, Pip crosses zones held by the Mistlings; he clears them, wins the zone, and a page comes back to the Chronicle. The characters and the Mist are made up for the game — and the game says so.

  • Pip, the hero, who changes outfit in every chapter

  • Russet the fox, always ready to go

  • Hoot the owl, who asks the questions

  • Mist, a white lady of the Fairies' Table

One outfit per chapter

Little knight, visitor in a lamp helmet, little Gaul, band drummer, kite flyer, boatman, stargazer… Pip dresses like the place he travels through.

The game

How it plays

Move, then throw

Moving is dodging; stopping is throwing at the nearest Mistling. Attacks are marked on the ground, and enemies are cleared away, never hurt.

Pick your talents

At every level, one talent out of three: twin shots, bounce, a spinning shield… Each episode dresses them up its own way.

Rebuild the Chronicle

Every zone you win gives back a page of history. Hoot only asks about a page you have already read, and "Put it in order" sorts the dates.

Fill your notebook

Real animals and real plants are peaceful: you watch them and note them in your notebook, you never fight them.

Bring a companion

Nearly forty little animated companions, each with its own power and a gift talent. Swap them at any time.

Play the mini-games

Steer a barge, fly Blériot's little plane, dig an archaeological square, drive the lunar rover… 22 mini-games open as you go.

A serious game

Knowledge, with sources

Every page has a source

A Chronicle page is a line of a fact sheet, with its source: Wikipedia, the Mérimée heritage database, official sites, museums. What is made up is said to be made up.

Told with care

No soldier is ever an enemy, no weapons, no flags. The Great War and the Second World War are told in a child's words, through what remains and what helped.

Made for children

No ads, no purchases, no account. No link out of the game without the parental gate.

Worked on with the places

The "Under the dome" chapter will be presented to La Coupole's educational service, to be reworked with it.
