Stack Up now plays in your browser

Stack Up — Tower Blocks — is the simplest of our games: a block slides over the tower, you tap, and whatever hangs over the edge is sliced off. The next block is only as wide as what's left, and blocks speed up as the tower grows.

Its new page has two things to try:

  • a web version, playable in a phone frame. It only loads when you press Play, because it pulls Three.js and its fonts from public CDNs — nothing leaves for a third party before that;
  • a tower that builds itself as you scroll, floor by floor, with the same pastel colours as the game (sin(0.3 · n) · 55 + 200 on each channel, if you're curious).

The gameplay clip on the page was filmed from that same web build by a tiny auto-player that taps when the moving block crosses the one below — and misses on purpose every few floors, so you can see the tower get trimmed.

Stack Up is on Google Play.
