Doku Tap is out on Google Play
Doku Tap is out on Google Play. It is a pure logic puzzle that mixes the reasoning of Sudoku with the deduction of Minesweeper, wrapped in a cozy world of companions.
Three rules, a lot of thinking
- the board is split into coloured regions: place exactly one companion in each;
- one companion per row and per column, like Sudoku;
- companions never touch, not even diagonally.
You have three hearts: every move must be deduced, guessing won't save you. You can try a 6×6 grid right on the game's site — the generator only keeps grids with a single solution, like the game's own level bank.
Around the puzzle
- 8 bonus mini-games: Tap, Pet Connect, Bubble Pop, Pet Match, Slide, Doku Rush, Busking and the Zen Garden, all included;
- 60 companions to collect (32 common, 14 rare, 8 gold, 6 legendary);
- more than 16,000 grids, a daily challenge, a 7-day reward cycle with streak freezes;
- smart hints, a rules guide for every mode and an easy mode gentle enough for kids;
- 63 languages in the game.
What we chose not to do
Doku Tap has no account and no sign-up: your progress stays on your phone. Google Play Games is optional (leaderboards, achievements, cloud save). The game is funded by ads — with the consent message required in Europe — and a single purchase removes them for good. Everything is written down, from the code, in the privacy policy.
The game site now speaks seven languages: appynamic.com/tap.
